This is a brilliant move by Amazon. Even though I would never buy a Kindle, there is a market for their device clearly, and they would be remiss if they didn't address users who want to make their portable books more portable. I am all about the design of a product. If I have to look at it while I'm looking at it (reading) then I want it to be visually acceptable to me. This is one of the reasons why I use my iPhone to read books. If the Kindle wasn't like a tablet sized version of a CRT monitor then I might buy one. If the Kindle was more visually appealing like an oversized iPhone I most likely would buy one to read around my house & take on long trips. But it isn't, so I won't be purchasing one anytime soon. Apparently people are, so tapping the iPhone market is pure extension genius.

Agreed. I think it is a great decision by amazon. I have not plunged into a kindle yet, but this move worked on me. I will buy an ebook to read on my phone. I watch tv and movies on this screen, read newsfeeds, Twitter, email, fbook, etc. why should it be too small to read a book.
